8 Tablespoons Butter (Cube)
Add milk to well beaten egg yolks.  Sift dry ingredients together, then add liquid.  Add melted butter.  Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.  Pour enough batter on grids to come within one inch of edge.

This was the first breakfast Mom made for Dad when they got married.  And she made these waffles almost every Sunday for the family.  They were so good and I made them for Henry after we were married.

Grandma Wilcox's Taffy Recipe

2 Cups Sugar
3/4 Cups Water
Butter size of Egg
2 Tablespoons Vinegar
1 teaspoon Vanilla

Add butter, vinegar when it comes to boil.  Boil till hard ball forms in cold water then add Vanilla.

Richard (Dick) and I can both remember Grandma making her Taffy out on the back porch.  It was cool out there and she had a big nail just to help her pull the Taffy. Her Taffy was so good; I've never much cared for any other.  Store bought just isn't the same.
